To me, griffins would look different depending on their environment and food supply. This is a tropical griffin,  which would be a mix of a macaw and a monkey.

Urban griffin, a mix of a pigeon and a rat.

Angler fish. All of the mean angler fish are females, males are small and parasitic. 

Bundled humanoid thing.

A french bulldog perhaps, named Jacques.

Kiwano

This is a kiwano, or horned melon, and it's awesome. Besides looking like a Gears of War grenade, I think it it has a wonderful color scheme. Fun to eat too and tastes something similar to a kiwi and a banana...
